Toronto Police hunt 'fast food bandit'

He clearly prefers take-out to go. But Toronto Police say the unidentified man, dubbed the 'Fast Food Bandit', has been grabbing money rather than food.

“The same guy robbed four downtown fast food restaurants in six days last month,” Staff-Insp. Mike Earl said. “So he’s obviously hungry, but for cash” The crook held up a Subway shop on University Ave. around 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 7. Two days later, around 8:25 p.m., he robbed a McDonald’s at Yonge and Grenville — a block from Toronto Police Headquarters. The man next targeted a Pizza Pizza. A little over an hour later he hit a Starbucks on King St. W., near Yonge St.
