Snipers kill 5 cops, wound 7 more in Dallas - Micah Xavier Johnson Shooter

Micah Xavier Johnson, identified as a gunman in the deadly attack on police officers in Dallas last night, was an enlisted soldier who served a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Dallas police killed Johnson, 25, with a robot-delivered bomb after hours of overnight negotiations in a parking garage had failed.

Snipers opened fire on police officers in the heart of Dallas, killing five officers and injuring six others during protests over two recent fatal police shootings of African American men.

Gunfire broke out around 8:45 p.m. Thursday while hundreds of people were gathered to protest fatal police shootings in Baton Rouge and St. Paul, Minnesota. The snipers fired “ambush style” upon the officers.
