Direct indictment sends men accused in Project Forseti straight to trial

On July 13, 2016 Mark Edward Weber entered pleas to two counts: possession of marijuana exceeding three kilograms for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000. John Louis Joseph Fekete, an alleged member of the Fallen Saints Motorcycle Club, entered a guilty plea to one count of trafficking marijuana exceeding three kilograms. Both men are scheduled to return to court for sentencing arguments in October.

Benjamin Miller Stewart-Rogers and Christopher Keith Lester pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Their sentencing is scheduled for December.
The news of direct indictment was revealed May 11, 2016 in Saskatoon provincial court, during what was scheduled to be the preliminary hearing for Travis Matthew Miles, Daryl Michael Nagy and Carl Allan Trobak. A direct indictment fast-tracks a case to the trial stage — bypassing the preliminary hearing.

The men are members of the Fallen Saints Motorcycle Club, a puppet club of the Hells Angels. They are charged with several drug-related offences. Nagy and Trobak also face organized crime charges.
